Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
The Pilgrim is a game developed and published by DataQuality, a Brazilian company registered under CNPJ 62.822.067/0001-69 (“DataQuality”, “we”). This policy explains what personal data the game and this website process, why, and what your rights are. In short: the game has no account, shows no ads and uses no tracking or usage-analytics tools. This website only uses Google Analytics if you accept its cookies.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is DataQuality, a Brazilian company registered under CNPJ 62.822.067/0001-69. You can reach our data protection officer at privacidade@playpilgrim.com.br.
2. What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth or any sign-up.
- We show no ads and do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID).
- The game uses no usage analytics, heatmaps or cross-app tracking. For this website, see section 6.
- We do not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
3. What stays on your device
Your chapter progress and preferences (language, music, haptics, reduced motion, left-handed mode and text speed) are stored on your device. They are not sent to us.
They are deleted when you uninstall the game. Your system backup (iCloud or Google) may keep a copy, depending on your Apple or Google account settings.
4. In-app purchases
The first 3 chapters are free. The one-time purchase that unlocks the rest of the journey is processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), under their own privacy policies. DataQuality never receives or stores card or payment details.
To confirm the purchase, unlock the chapters and let you restore it on another device, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which processes:
- a random identifier created by the game, which does not reveal who you are;
- transaction data: product, price, currency, date, store country and the receipt issued by Apple or Google;
- device model, operating system and game version, and IP address.
We rely on the performance of a contract, to deliver what you bought, and on our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and producing sales reports that do not identify individuals.
5. When you contact us
If you email support, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments. We use them only to answer and resolve your request, and keep the conversation for up to 2 years after the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.
6. This website
Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) logs technical data such as IP address, browser and requested pages to deliver the pages and protect the service from abuse. These logs are not used to identify visitors.
If you click “Accept” on the cookie notice, the website loads Google Analytics (Google LLC), which sets cookies in your browser (_ga and _ga_*) to count visits and show which pages are viewed most, where visitors come from (approximate country and city), and the device type and browser. Advertising signals are turned off: this data is not used for ads or profiling. Reports are kept for up to 14 months.
Legal basis: consent (LGPD, art. 7, I). If you decline, nothing is loaded. You can change your mind at any time through the “Cookies” link in the footer; declining deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
8. International transfers
DataQuality is based in Brazil, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. These transfers rely on contractual clauses and the safeguards offered by those providers, as required by Brazil's data protection law (LGPD, art. 33).
9. How long we keep data
Purchase records are kept for as long as needed to keep your chapters unlocked and restorable, and for the period required by tax and consumer law. They are then deleted or anonymised.
10. Children
The game is suitable for the whole family and asks no one for personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, including children under 13 as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Purchases go through the stores' parental controls (such as Apple's Ask to Buy and Google Family Link), which we recommend parents keep on.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Brazil's LGPD, the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may ask us to confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, learn who we share it with, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Email privacidade@playpilgrim.com.br. Because the game has no account, we may ask for the purchase receipt Apple or Google sent you to find the records. We reply within 15 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
12. Security
We process as little data as possible. Communication with the stores and RevenueCat is encrypted, and access to sales dashboards is restricted and protected by authentication.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, for example if the game adds accounts or online play, we will announce it in the game and on this page before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest update.
